So pretty! this is a very good job =)
Hi PippaI love your macrame wall hangings. Prompts me to want to get back into it. I have not macrame'd (if that is even a real term) since the 70's. What weight cord did you use for them?Lisa
Hi Lisa, whatever I can get my hands on really? These hangings were made with cotton cord, 5mm thick :)
Hi pippa i love your macrame art, the hanger, the dreamer just all of it. and i tried it myself with one of the dreamers and it went pretty good. Thank!!! ;) but do you get the rope in a bulk??? i used heaps of it and had to go back into the hardware store and buy more and more and more rope (actually i really didn't expect to use that much rope...) and since now my mum and some of my friends like to have one too (because they are soooo pretty) ;) i like to buy the rope in an bigger amount. do you know where to find that here in Australia?? or do i have to order overseas??? since all what i find here is soooo expensive.... or are you still sell your dreamers? you don't have anything up on easy.... please let me know would be great help.
These are lovely, do you have tutorials or a suggestion of where to find the patterns? Also a tutorial about the dyeing. Thank you!
I'm curious how you dye your pieces without the beads changing colors!
Are they treated beads? Do you cover them??
I've found in my experience that pre dyeing your twine before you macramé results in a cleaner look. The pre-dyed twine integrates best into the design and the colour is more vibrant! Those who dye there macramé pieces after they make it will not achieve a cohesive look. That's just my opinion.
Love your macrame. I use to do it in the 70s and I did so many beautiful stuff. Seeing your beautiful work i feel like picking it up again and making a wall hanging. Funny when I did this I lived in Arizona and now I just moved back to Arizona and want to make them again.
